What we deliver
Built With You.
Not Just For You.
Defining a digital transformation roadmap can be as complex as the automation itself. Choosing the right platform, designing the architecture, securing your systems, modeling your data, planning integrations, and ensuring long-term scalability are all essential foundational steps. Poor planning in any of these areas can lead to significant costs and rework later.
Our team brings hands-on experience spanning controls engineering, manufacturing operations, and enterprise IT systems. We work collaboratively with your team to define realistic scopes, avoid vendor gimmicks, and select platforms that support both current needs and long-term growth.
Whether we are providing a solution, consulting, co-developing, or training, our goal is to strengthen your internal capabilities. We want to empower your team to confidently build, maintain, and extend your own systems.

Where IT and OT Collide

That’s where most projects struggle and where real value is created. Our team is built to eliminate that disconnect. We ensure that every solution is technically sound and scalable.
One of the most intimidating aspects of modern manufacturing is the sheer diversity of machinery, control systems, and automation technologies on the plant floor. Many vendors attempt to solve this with “plug-and-play,” “no-code,” or black-box solutions. But the uncomfortable reality is that industrial integration is not often ready and standardized.
Even machines that were built by the same OEM just a few years apart can have drastically different hardware, firmware, networking, or ladder logic structures. That variability is exactly why we start every engagement with a deep, asset-level technical assessment.
Instead of forcing your operation to fit a product, we engineer solutions that adapt to the realities of your manufacturing environment.
Tier 1 – Relay Logic & Pushbutton Systems.
Legacy hard-wired control systems with minimal or no PLC infrastructure. We reverse-engineer prints, trace signals, and extract discrete or analog states to integrate with modern data platforms.
Tier 2 – Serial-Based Control Systems.
Controllers using legacy industrial serial protocols such as DH-485, Modbus RTU, DF1, and similar. These systems typically require protocol converters or gateway hardware to bridge serial networks into Ethernet-based architecture. This enables secure, reliable data flow into modern systems without replacing existing controls.
Tier 3 – Ethernet-Based Control Systems.
Direct connectivity into enterprise networks, typically requiring minimal additional hardware. In some cases, network segmentation or NAT modules are used for security and architecture control.
Leverage Partnerships.
Focus on You.
Castor Engineering works across leading platforms including Premier level Partnership with Ignition by Inductive Automation, FactoryTalk Optix by Rockwell Automation, Fuuz by MFGx, Aveva Wonderware, and more, bringing deep experience across the tools that power modern manufacturing.
But our loyalty isn’t to a platform, it’s to our customers. We don’t force solutions to fit a preferred technology. Instead, we evaluate your process, your goals, and your existing systems to determine the right tools for the job. The result is not just a working solution, but the right solution – engineered for performance, longevity, and real-world success.
