Creative Foam: Accelerating Compliance With Dominican Republic E-Shipment Regulations
Creative Foam Corporation, a leading provider of engineered foam, composite, and plastic products for automotive, medical, and industrial markets, expanded its footprint with the acquisition of AccuMED Holdings Corp. in March 2025.
The acquisition brought new regulatory responsibilities, including requirements unique to AccuMED’s Dominican Republic operations. Working together, our team designed, developed, tested, and deployed a fully operational Ignition-based compliance platform in just seven days.
the regulatory challenge
Creative Foam needed a partner who could deliver a fast, accurate, compliant, and ERP-Integrated tool, and do so on an extremely accelerated timeline.
Dominican Republic government mandates that all shipments must be electronically declared using an approved digital platform. Creative Foam was then directed to choose from several government-listed electronic billing providers and selected the Alanube Electronic Supplier API system.
This Required:
Mapping Plex ERP Invoice Data into Alanube’s Spanish-language API specification
Managing legally required government sequence numbers
Ensuring each shipment was declared and accepted before export
Avoiding costly shipment holds and compliance audits
Doing all of this under a hard, government-defined deadline

The Ignition-Based Invoice Declaration Tool
To meet the compliance date, we delivered the Invoice Declaration Tool, a production-ready Ignition Perspective application, in just seven days. From RFQ to fully operational system.

Every declaration, submission, response, and receipt ID is captured.
Operator-Friendly Web Interface
Built in Ignition Perspective for browser and tablet use on the plant floor.
Error Handling & Compliance Validation
Ensures each invoice is acceptable for government submission before dispatch. And validates that it was accepted before completion.

Spanish-Only API Documentation
Alanube API documentation, sample payloads, and support were provided exclusively in Spanish.
Our team handled the translation, interpretation, validation, and communication with the vendor, ensuring accuracy without slowing development.

Multi-System Mapping Complexity
We delivered a clean, maintainable mapping engine in Ignition that allows Creative Foam to easily adjust logic as requirements evolve.
The solution had to coordinate:

Tight Deadline / Zero Room for Error
Shipment compliance is binary. Either the declaration is accepted, or the shipment sits at port.
The tool was deployed without a single declaration failure during go-live week.

Sequence Number Management
The requirement to adhere to a government-mandated sequence number range, with expiration dates to respect, proved to be one of the more technically challenging aspects of this project. The systems decision to “consume” a sequence number or not relied on multiple validation API endpoints and processing time challenges.
